Liwonde National Park- part 1

Liwonde National Park, Malawi!

Amazingly beautiful!  What a blessing to spend a couple of days there!  Here is the first of many posts with pictures of God's beautiful creation.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.- Psalm 50:2

The view from the table we ate each meal at!

Our chalet

Game drive time!

Amazing!

This is my favorite!  The elephants are greeting each other by placing their trunk in the others mouth. It's like a hand shake.  We saw this a lot.

We were very close.  We even had to move our vehicle at one point because they were too close to us.  We didn't want to spook them.

Road block!

Do you see the square/rectangle?  This is an old wound to the tree.  It was made by ancient Malawians who carved out the tree bark to use as a covering or a kilt around their waist.  This was part of their clothing.

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.- Psalm 19:1

Yes, we love her anyway!  If you don't get this pic then you're not from MS!

Breakfast!  Baby J has been sick so seeing him eat was a huge blessing!

Playground!

Interesting way to recycle an old tire (or tyre as they spell it here).

Boat safari!

We said these were little love birds!

Warthog!

What's CJ pointing at?  Find out in the next post!
