He LIVES!

Praise God! Jesus lives today! He defeated death on the cross and rose again on the third day! That's today! I hope you're as excited about that as I am. It's the most important fact you'll ever hear.

(The Bible tells us that) "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures" - 1 Corithians 15:3b-4

The Bible also says that "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God as raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" - Romans 10:9

Take the time to ask Jesus to be Lord of your life and forgive you of your sins. He died for you. He died for me. Don't you want to spend eternity in heaven? Have a wonderful Easter and God bless!

Feeding Princess

People ask me all the time how I handle having three children. Many people have younger children and more children than I do. But right now I'm one of the few in my circle of friends with three. You know, it's actually easier to have three children than just two. See, Tink and Man-Man are at an age now where they can entertain each other. They do argue and fight....but for the most part they play great together and they LOVE playing with each other. That leaves more time for me to attend to baby Princess' needs. Now that she's six months things have gotten even easier. She can sit in a high chair and play with toys while I clean the kitchen. She loves to get in her "Johnny Jump" that we hang in the doorway. As long as she can see one of us she's great. Oh, you should see her eyes light up when her brother or sister come into the room. She's amazed by them. And they are so great with her.

That's another reason it seems easier with three. The older two can help out so much with the baby. Man-Man and Tink love to help feed Princess. This is a fairly new thing to them. Tink usually feeds Princess lunch while I get their lunch ready. Man-Man says he likes to feed her supper...but really he just feeds her about five bites and then he's done. I've put baby food in a bottom drawer in the kitchen along with bibs and rags. I let Tink pick out which food she thinks Princess wants and then she gets her ready with her bib and feeds her. She feels like such a big girl. I love to see them helping their sister. They are just wonderful kids. God is so gracious and loving to give me these precious little angels.

On the way home from church tonight they decided to sing for all of us. Tink and Man-Man have been learning new songs at church during our puppet show each week. It's been a big hit for all of the kids. I love it because all of the kids come out into the hall to watch the puppet show. I play Suzie sheep (and Tink is so proud of this little fact) and Dalton plays Moe the monkey. At the end of the show the kids sing three songs they've all been learning. After only three weeks these kids already know them. They love to sing these songs. So Tink and Man-Man started singing on the way home tonight. At the top of their lungs I hear..."Good news, Jesus is born. Good news, He died on the cross. Good news, He rose from the dead. Good news, He's coming back soon!!" It was so cute. Daddy and I were just beaming. I couldn't have been happier!

Snail Mail

Tink and Man-Man both received some money at Christmas. I put it away until they really wanted to buy something special. Man-Man immediately fell in love with the Razor scooter that Tink got for Christmas. He got a big boy Spider-Man bike...which he also loves. He rides his bike about half of the time and her hot pink scooter the other half of the time. So he knew right away that he wanted a scooter of his very own.

Tink never really mentioned that she wanted anything. Or if she'd mention something one day it would be forgotten the next. So I waited to see if anything would come up. Well we've been reading the Little House in the Big Woods recently and she's fallen in love with Laura Ingalls and that family. Each night at 7 we usually have Little House on the Prairie turned on (if we're at home). Her Nana and Pawpaw got her the first season on DVD which she has seen over and over. Well, she finally made up her mind. She wanted season 2 on DVD. So Mommy put in the order and I told them it would be a few days before it arrived. I wasn't sure how long until I received the shipping order.

She asked daily how many more days it was going to take. Man-Man was very patient. He knew it was coming and he would be happy whenever it got there. Not Tink. She wanted to know the exact day. I finally told her it should be here on Monday the 10th. All was right with the world. That is until she realized that Monday was here. She got so excited. We were coming home from the gym and she piped up..."Mommy, is it Monday?" I told her it was and she reminded me what a big day it was. I knew her order was coming by the Postal Service which worried me as they aren't as reliable as UPS or Fed Ex. But usually the mail had run by the time we got home from the gym. That day it hadn't run yet. We ate lunch and I told her to go out and check again. She didn't come back right away and I walked outside to check on her. She was sitting at the end of our driveway waiting on the mail. It was so cute. She sat there at least 20 minutes and sure enough...there came the mail truck. I was praying, please let this package be on this truck or I would have one heartbroken little girl. Yes, it was there. The world could go on spinning. My baby had her Little House collection.

You know, kids don't have to save money and wait for things they want now days. They get everything given to them before they even ask most of the times. But it's the things they work for, the things they save for, the things they wait for that mean the most to them. They have emotion poured into that object and they love it. It makes it so much more special.

Oh, by the way, Man-Man's Razor came later that afternoon by UPS. He never even asked for it when Tink's DVD's showed up. He was so excited that she had gotten her package. He is such a sweet hearted little boy. And he does love his black Razor scooter.

Snow #2!!

This past weekend it snowed YET AGAIN in the South. I don't think there was any accumulation since it rained all the day before. But still...that's the second snow in two months. Then 36 hours later it was 69 degrees and sunny. The kids were asleep during this last snow. But it did sleet early that afternoon. So we had a little science lesson on what sleet and hail was and the kids got to pick it up and hold it. I think they liked it. Tink wanted to stand under it while it was coming down. But I suggested that she wait until the sleet storm was over before venturing out....unless she wanted to loose an eye.
