Welcome Luke Thomas Kyser

DH's brother, Jason, and his wife Lisa welcomed baby Luke into the world on Sunday.

We drove down to Mobile and spent the day waiting for this precious baby.

Jason, Lisa, and Luke are such a cute little family! I'm so happy to be an aunt!

Of course Tink wanted to be in there for the whole thing!! She couldn't wait to see her new baby cousin.

T-ball party!

Man-Man's last t-ball game was last week. He has come so far since the first game. He wouldn't even get out to bat at the beginning of the season. Now he's ready for anything!

I mean, how cute can he be??
He's so proud! He made it to first.
Run home brother!

He was so proud of that trophy. He even sleeps with it!
Show me again, Man-Man!
He was named most improved player by the coaches. Mommy was so proud!

Dance Recital

O.K. so you'll actually be looking at the photos in backwards order. This is right after her performance. The beautiful flowers are from Nana and Pawpaw.

Gidgi with her girls!
Isn't she beautiful!
On the phone with Nana and Pawpaw!

Tink and Emma!
I love this one! Daddy getting her off the stage after the performance and giving her the flowers.

Dance Rehearsal

Here's a sample of my beautiful ballerina during her dance recital. Thanks for the pic Dee Dee!

Happy Memorial Day!

It's been a while since I've posted. A lot has been happening and I hope to soon be able to catch everyone up on everything. But for now these are the only new pics that I have and they are actually Dee Dee's pics from her girls' birthday parties this past weekend. Thanks Dee Dee! We have a new computer and DH still has a few things to show me...including how to download pics and where to save them. Oh, and we're networking with our old computer (I sound like I know what I'm talking about don't I! Yeah right!) so that's tricky in itself.
Princess is a mobile force now as she has been crawling for a couple of weeks. She is so proud of herself. She loves to get into anything she isn't supposed to...and she loves to chew on shoes. It's very different having two older children in the house with a baby crawling around. I never realized how many choking hazards a 5 year old and a 3 year old can own. And I don't even want to think about lead poisoning. UGH!!
Tink had her dance recital rehearsal tonight and she was just beautiful. She and Emma did a great job...we couldn't have been prouder. I have some pics of that...but they'll be along one day soon.
Man-Man was very excited to get to play at Malorie's instead of having to go to the dance rehearsal. Robyn was gracious enough to ask him over again tomorrow night so he doesn't have to go to the recital either. DH asked if Robyn could keep him also!! Boys!!!
I'll write more later...when I get more pics. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. And I pray we all remember to be safe on the roads. I lost a dear friend on Memorial Day weekend in '95. She was killed by a drunk driver three weeks before we graduated. I know it changed me forever and I don't want to ever have to go through something like that again. I love you all!

Tink has been begging to get her ears pierced for months now. DH and I decided before she was born that we would not get her ears pierced while she was a baby. We would wait until she asked and until we thought she was old enough to be responsible for helping to take care of her ears. Well she's ready...or so we thought!

After her Veritas graduastion we went to the mall since Daddy and Gidgi were both with us. I knew they both wanted to be there. Tink was excited. She picked out little pink flowers for her earrings. Then she got nervous. We had to talk her down, get her calmer, and we were able to get one ear pierced. After that she didn't want any more to do with it. No way was she getting another ear done. Since we couldn't back out now Jeremy and I had to hold her down while the entire mall heard her get her second ear pierced. It was HORRIBLE!

Notice this happy shot was taken moments after the second ear was pierced. It wasn't that it hurt...it was just the thought...the emotions. We said right then....we're getting Princess' done NOW! No more waiting...no more drama. Princess was great. She didn't know what was going on and the only time she cried was when we held her hands away from her ears. She wanted to feel what was going on.

This is her before the ears were pierced.

This is her right after. No real drama here. DH and I were both glad to have both of the girls done. No more piercings for this family. After an hour and a half in Claire's Man-Man is too scared to do anything that stupid!

These are pictures of two of Tink's end of the school year performances. In this first few she is performing in her musical at her friday school, Friday's at Veritas. It's a one day a week enrichment school for homeschoolers. She loves it and it kind of gives her the best of both worlds. She's homeschooled by me but is able to participate in choir, art, science projects, recess, etc. while at Veritas.
This is Josie, one of Tink's good friends from dance and Veritas. Her brother, Stephen, is in Tink's Veritas class.
This is Mrs. Blaha, Tink's Veritas teacher. She has been so wonderful this year. She even made each child a beautiful book with copies of pictures she took of the kids throughout the year.
This is Stephen, Josie's brother. He and Tink have been great friends this year and they live right around the corner. We've been getting together at the park to let the kids play.
This is at a performance put on by one of the Veritas moms where the kids were able to recite a Bible verse and sing a solo on stage in front of a crowd. Of course my child was so excited about this. She was the youngest child up there and she was brilliant....of course!! I was so proud.
Daddy and Man-Man watching Sissy.
No nerves here! She couldn't wait for her turn in the program!!
These are the kids involved in the Scripture reading program.
Here she is saying her Bible verse. It was actually 4 Bible verses...see if you could do this at age 5...
"Therefore everyone that hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man that build his house upon a rock. The rains came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat upon the house but the house did not fall because it had it's foundation on the rock. But everyone that hears these words of Mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand. The rains came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat upon that house and the house on the sand fell with a crash."
Matthew 7:24-27
Then she sang the song that goes with that verse: Wise Man/Foolish Man
I was the proudest mom in the room.
