Gusu Village Medical Clinic
The second week of August our family was blessed to travel with a medical team 2 hours outside of Lilongwe to a village named Gusu. It was a long ride. 1 hour on regular paved roads and then 1 hour on very bumpy dirt roads that resembled the bumpiest rollercoaster ride ever! But in the end we were able to receive this amazing reception as we arrived.
The team we were with (E3) is involved in an ongoing process of assisting this village to meet all needs they have including physical, emotional, and spiritual. Here is a picture of how they are aiding in building a school room for the surrounding villages. Each village is responsible for providing a certain number of bricks that will be used to build the school room.
The football (soccer) goal for the village soccer team.
The water system that was put in for the village. CJ is looking on.
Results of the irrigation system!
In the middle of the sugar cane fields!
Sugar cane! My Pawpaw would be proud!
AJ and Kimmie helping with the mini VBS that a visiting group was doing alongside our medical group.
The local football (soccer) team!
Tocazani (my translator for the day!)
Jeremy and Tocazani!
What an amazing experience we had! Over 300 patients were seen at the medical clinic and our prayer is that the village continues to grow in the Lord and all other needs will be met.

First Day of School!!
CJ with his new teacher Mrs. Blake!
Beginning the first day!
SM and her good friend Eloise walking to the assembly!
Our mighty head teacher: Grandma Iris!!!! (Doesn't she look great in MAROON!!!)
My 3 angels after their first day!! Ok, well technically all we did was meet with our class for 30 minutes and then have a 30 minute assembly. Tomorrow will be the first FULL day, but still, today counts!
Thank you for your prayers. We are so excited to finally be starting the new year and getting to know more of the beautiful people that the Lord has placed in our path to minister to this year...and whom he wants to minister to us as well. Please pray for a year that glorifies HIM in all that we do!

Village Pictures
This little girl is drawing water from a well back there.
And now she's bringing it home.
Huge turkey...and the camera wasn't on zoom.
All was quiet. We were sitting there watching the turkeys, chickens, and goats, and then this heard of cattle comes marching through. It was pretty crazy.
These two weren't happy with each other.
We love you all!
Jill
