Malawi's Bright Future!

ABC just had their 2014 graduation yesterday afternoon.  When we talk about the future of this beautiful country we focus on the amazing past graduates and current students of ABC.  They are all on fire for Christ and ready to share the gospel with the world!  Some have started ministries of their own which we help out with when needed.  Others continue their education in the States or even other universities here in Africa.  And still others become pastors, business men/women, members of Parliament, or any other thing that the Lord calls them too. Whatever they do their love for Christ is evident! They are our heart!  WE love our ABC students!  And we are so blessed to know them.  What an inspiration they are to us!

Here are some pictures of just a few of the amazing graduates from yesterday. 

The picture at the top is of Maguire.  His name is Richard Maguire but I'm not sure that I've ever heard anyone call him Richard! ;)

Below is Bob.  He was a translator for us with the ConnectMed event from last year.   

Above is Lazarus.  Lazarus is like a son to us.  He was our weekend guard for the first two years that we lived in the city.  He helped answer many questions that we had those first couple of years.  We're so thankful for him!

Ah, Martin!  Those of you who follow this blog will recognize Martin.  He and his wife, Alinafe (below), are the girls house parents at Rainbow.  We love him so!

It from a long way away but standing in the center is Andrew.  He's our heart!  He graduates next year!  And he's taking off to spend the summer in MS in just two weeks!

Love love this girl and her heart!  This is Carrie, one of the Ballet Magnificat instructors here at ABC academy.  Although our girls live too far away to come to ballet we're thankful for her and the time she did spend teaching them not only the art of ballet but the love of Christ!

Brother Scotty and Mrs. Terry McDowell (founders of Rainbow) flew in for Martin's graduation!  And that's Praise, Martin's son, holding the flowers.

Sweet Amy Louise whom I just love.  She's leaving us and headed to the amazing San Diego in just a couple of weeks.  Can't wait to see what all the Lord will do through her amazing family!

You just saw a very small sampling of the amazing people that we get to love on and minister with here in Malawi.  These beautiful faces (and many others like them) are the future of this great country!  We can't wait to see how the Lord uses each one of them!
