Our Summer!

I thought everyone might want to see how we've been spending our summer. Tink joined our YMCA summer league swim team this summer so we're there five days a week. We love it. Man-Man, Princess and I get to swim while she's doing swim team and then we eat a picnic lunch everyday and swim for a little while longer after lunch. It's so fun!

These pics are general pictures of our pool. As you can see it has a large mushroom that water falls from and also a big red thing that shoots water...not sure what that's called. We also have another end of the pool that is kinda in the back of the shots...it's where swim team is held. It has room for about six or seven lanes as well as three slides and a diving board. Who needs a water park when when we've got the best pool around!!

Tink and Lindsey joined the swim team for the first time this summer and this is a pic of their first swim meet. They had so much fun!

Tink getting ready to swim back stroke...her favorite!

Go Tink go!!!

It was SOOO hot and there was no shade...so Mommy made do with a big umbrella from the car. We'll be better prepared for the next meet.

Princess just hanging out at Sissy's meet!
We're having an amazing summer so far. I'll post more pics later.

VBS 2008

Last week Tink and Man-Man got to go to Vacation Bible School at our church.

They had a blast...although we were all tire by the end of the week. We don't normally have to get up and be dressed and out the door by 7:30...that's one of the great things about homeschooling!
This is Tink's missions class. That's Mrs. Alyson teaching them.

Each day Miss Jessica (our favorite Mo Heights teacher) would come get Man-Man to take him to the worship center for the rally time.

O.k. Man-Man developed a crush on his lifelong friend Jessie-Claire during the week. It's his first crush...and he couldn't have picked a better girl!

One of the VBS afternoons Princess got busy rearranging Mommy's pots and pans!

At the end of the week the kids had raised over $1000 for the Baptist Children's village. Therefore they were able to watch Bro. Joseph (Children's Minister), Bro. Greg (senior pastor) and Mrs. Kathy (Music director) get pies in their faces...it was great!

This is Miss Jessica! We love Miss Jessica!

Tink and Man-Man with our neighbors and some of their friends before VBS on the first morning.

Tink, Lindsey and Rivers! Two of Tink's best and oldest friends.

Miss Jessica's crazy group of kids.

I had to snap this...we told the kids to hold hands crossing the street....Emma and Tink (best friends) took off ahead and Man-Man pulled a sly one one Jessie. Ah, first love!

It was an awesome week and now it's time to rest up. We're all still exhausted!

While we were in Mobile for the birth of baby Luke we decided to take the kids to see the USS ALABAMA. They loved it of course. Man-Man was all about the big guns. The first pic shows DH holding Man-Man up to shoot the gun. He was in heaven. He even tried to shoot a Chevy Malibu in the parking lot. Tink loved touring and trying to follow all of the arrows. She was our little tour guide. Princess, well she enjoyed the ride in the stroller...but she was very happy when the last pic was taken because it meant she could get out of the stroller. We had a great time and I was happy because I got to see a hanger full of fighter jets! My favorite.

Welcome Luke Thomas Kyser

DH's brother, Jason, and his wife Lisa welcomed baby Luke into the world on Sunday.

We drove down to Mobile and spent the day waiting for this precious baby.

Jason, Lisa, and Luke are such a cute little family! I'm so happy to be an aunt!

Of course Tink wanted to be in there for the whole thing!! She couldn't wait to see her new baby cousin.

T-ball party!

Man-Man's last t-ball game was last week. He has come so far since the first game. He wouldn't even get out to bat at the beginning of the season. Now he's ready for anything!

I mean, how cute can he be??
He's so proud! He made it to first.
Run home brother!

He was so proud of that trophy. He even sleeps with it!
Show me again, Man-Man!
He was named most improved player by the coaches. Mommy was so proud!
